Orthodontic treatment for children and teenagers in Tallinn
We provide early interceptive orthodontic treatment for children, when timely treatment can influence the development of the jaws and bite during the active growth period.
Our paediatric orthodontic treatment includes:
- expansion of the upper jaw;
- correction of a narrow maxilla and insufficient space for permanent teeth;
- guidance and modification of lower jaw growth;
- stimulation of upper jaw growth when maxillary development is insufficient;
- correction of crossbite, deep bite and other malocclusions;
- early treatment of dental crowding;
- orthodontic treatment for children and teenagers using clear aligners.
One of the combinations we use most frequently in cases of a narrow upper jaw and insufficient space for the teeth is maxillary expansion followed by alignment of the teeth with clear aligners. This approach allows us to address not only tooth position but also the shape and width of the dental arch.
For teenagers whose main growth period is nearing completion or has already finished, we plan comprehensive orthodontic treatment based on the established bite and any remaining growth potential.
Function is just as important as straight teeth
In children, we pay close attention not only to tooth alignment but also to the correct development of the jaws and dentofacial system, tongue posture, swallowing pattern, lip function and other myofunctional disorders that may influence bite development and the long-term stability of orthodontic treatment.
When indicated, we work together with myofunctional therapists and osteopaths, combining orthodontic treatment with correction of functional factors.
Our aim is not simply to make the teeth straight, but to create a treatment plan that takes into account the bite, jaw growth and position, function and long-term stability of the result.
Important: orthodontic consultations and the start of treatment funded by Tervisekassa are currently temporarily suspended due to limited funding. At present, all consultations for children are provided on a private, fee-paying basis.

Price per retainer. Removable retainer to maintain the treatment result.
